Hello? May?

Is it just me or is May flying by?

Work has been crazy. I am already nearly a week into Summer semester. Over the (short) school break, we had friends in town. I have traveled 1000 miles and back. Planned and threw a baby shower. All of which was absolutely wonderful, just quick! I may need a break from my break.

Needless to say, the hubs and I were looking forward to getting into a summer routine. (Please note the past tense, and it is not even summer yet). Plans change and they can change just as quickly as they were made. The idea of a "normal routine" now seems laughable. The Big Guy had a different idea for our family. We are not exactly sure what the next few weeks have in store for us, but our new "plan" is to not have a definite plan, hold on tight to each other, and truly enjoy and cherish any time we are able to spend with our friends and families.

Change is a good thing. It keeps one flexible and alert. On one's toes, if you will. And it is constant. In less than one year's time, I will have hopefully graduated from law school and I know throughout this year everything will change. Priorities will change, babies will be born (not mine, mind you), families will change in size, friends will relocate, and (my) hair will become more gray, of course. And there is absolutely nothing I can do about it, except pray and embrace it. Worrying is useless. Quit the worry and enjoy.

As time flies by me, it never ceases to amaze me that the more things change, the more they stay the same. (You didn't mind that I squeezed one more cliché into this post, did you? Didn't think so).  :)
